Job summary

Huron seeks an Inpatient Coding Auditor to review inpatient coders and offshore auditors, ensuring coding accuracy and compliant practices. You will interact with client teams and payers, producing audit reports and prioritizing improvements.

Responsibilities include monitoring 95% DRG and coding accuracy, coordinating calibration sessions, and presenting actionable insights to leadership while staying current on coding guidelines.

Qualifications

• Current CCS, CIC, or CDIP certification required.
• 2+ years of inpatient coding auditor experience.
• 3+ years of inpatient coding experience.
• Proficient with MS Office Suite.
• Experience with revenue cycle systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead inpatient coding accuracy monitoring with a goal of 95% accuracy.
• Perform quality checks and calibration audits with offshore teams.
• Prepare audit reports and provide feedback to coders and auditors.
• Ensure adherence to clinical documentation guidelines and coding rules.
• Present findings to leadership in a clear, actionable format.
• Utilize encoder software to assign ICD-CM, ICD-PCS, DRG, POA, and related codes.
• Maintain compliance with US federal/state/local coding guidelines.
