Job summary

Parallon is seeking an Inpatient Coding Auditor to work remotely in the United States. You will perform internal quality assessment reviews on Health Information Management Service Center coders to ensure compliance with national coding guidelines and company policies, ensuring accurate coding and data integrity.

You will lead reviews, assist staff with adherence to guidelines, and maintain high productivity and accuracy. A strong HIM/HIT background and coding certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of acute care inpatient/outpatient coding experience.
• 3+ years coding auditing/monitoring experience preferred.
• RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coordinates and performs all quality reviews for inpatient and/or outpatient coding across multiple HSCs.
• Ensures adherence with coding guidelines and policy.
• Demonstrates expert level medical coding knowledge.
• Participates on special reviews or projects.
• Maintains or exceeds 95% productivity standards.
• Maintains or exceeds 95% accuracy.
• Reviews data quality standards and coding resources to stay current.
