Requirements include 2+ years of medical coding experience and current AHIMA or AAPC certification. The role emphasizes QA, audits, and timely coding to ensure compliance and accurate payments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of medical coding experience required.
• Current AHIMA or AAPC Coding Certification(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10 and DRG codes for inpatient hospital services in line with guidelines and payer requirements.
• Interpret notes and assign codes with modifiers for compliance and optimal reimbursement.
• Maintain at least 95% coding accuracy through QA and audits.
