Job summary

e4health is seeking an Inpatient Coder on a PRN basis. The coder will accurately abstract data into client EMR systems, adhering to ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines and UHDDS directives.

Responsibilities include POA indicator assignment, data entry, and physician queries to ensure high coding accuracy and productivity on project-based assignments. Candidates must hold a CCS credential, have 5+ years of Trauma Level 1/Academic Teaching facility experience, and 3+ years of US coding experience, with

Qualifications

• CCS credential required.
• 5+ years in a Trauma Level 1/Academic Teaching facility.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS coding.
• 3+ years of experience coding within the US.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM/PCS codes to inpatient accounts per workflow.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital stats and reporting.
• Assign POA indicators per AHA POA guidelines.
• Query physicians to clarify conflicting information when needed.
• Communicate documentation improvement opportunities to appropriate teams.
