Responsibilities

• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes through full inpatient record review, ensuring correct DRG assignment and compliance.
• Code inpatient cases across multiple facilities while meeting established quality and productivity standards.
• Utilize coding tools to review system-identified flags and resolve documentation or coding issues.
• Validate all codes against official coding guidelines and internal policies.
• Collaborate with coding leadership and peers to incorporate feedback and participate in quality improvement efforts.
• Navigate EPIC to review clinical documentation, operative reports, and discharge summaries.
