Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

The position requires CCS, RHIT or RHIA credentials with a minimum of three years inpatient coding experience. Epic EHR and 3M encoder proficiency are preferred, and prior academic medical center or trauma

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience working within an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• CCS certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials will also be considered.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and experience using the 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties, including: Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical cases, Transplants, NICU, and other complex inpatient cases.
• Assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes per regulatory standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Meet established productivity and quality expectations.
