Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

The position requires CCS certification (RHIT/RHIA considered) and a minimum of three years inpatient coding experience, preferably in an academic medical center or trauma facility, with strong Epic EHR and

Qualifications

• Certified inpatient coder with relevant credentials preferred.
• Minimum three years inpatient coding experience.
• Experience in academic medical center or trauma facility advantageous.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical, Transplant, NICU, and other complex cases.
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes per regulatory and industry standards.
• Maintain timely, accurate coding in a high-acuity environment and meet productivity/quality expectations.
