Remote Inpatient Coder - Multi-Specialty, High Acuity

Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

The contract is 6 months with potential extension and ASAP start. Remote work with PST hours, Epic EHR and 3M encoder experience preferred. Prior academic medical center exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience in an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical, Transplants, NICU and other complex cases.
• Assign diagnoses and procedures per standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Meet productivity and quality expectations.
