Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

This contract requires accurate inpatient coding across multiple specialties, with proficiency in Epic EHR and the 3M encoder. 6-month term with potential extension; start ASAP, PST hours, fully remote.

Qualifications

• Three years of inpatient coding experience across multiple specialties.
• Experience in high-acuity academic medical centers or trauma facilities preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across cardiology, neurology, surgical cases, transplants, NICU and other complex inpatient cases.
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes per organizational, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.
