Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

Responsibilities include coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical, Transplants, NICU, and other complex inpatient cases, ensuring compliance with coding standards and timely submissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M Encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across a wide range of specialties.
• Assign appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes in accordance with standards.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet established productivity and quality expectations.

Skills

Academic medical center experience

Education

CCS certification preferred

RHIT or RHIA credentials considered
