Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

Responsibilities include inpatient coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgery, Transplants, NICU, and other complex cases, using Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Qualifications

• CCS certification preferred; RHIT or RHIA credentials considered.
• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience in academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.
• Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across specialties including Cardiology, Neurology, Surgery, Transplants, NICU.
• Assign diagnoses and procedures codes per organizational and regulatory standards.
• Maintain timely, high-quality coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Meet productivity and quality expectations.
