Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

The contract is 6 months with potential extension and start date ASAP. Experience with Epic EHR and the 3M encoder is required or preferred; CCS certification is strongly preferred, with RHIT/RHIA credentials

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience.
• Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background.
• Experience in an academic medical center or trauma facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across diverse specialties.
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes per standards and regulations.
• Maintain timely, accurate coding in a high-acuity environment.
• Meet productivity and quality expectations.
