Job summary

Medasource is partnering with a leading regional health system to hire experienced Inpatient Medical Coders for a fully remote contract opportunity. This role supports a high-acuity, multi-specialty environment and is ideal for coders with strong experience handling complex inpatient cases.

The team seeks CCS certification or RHIT/RHIA credentials with a minimum of three years of inpatient coding. Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder is preferred; remote PST hours apply.

Qualifications

• CCS or RHIT/RHIA credentials considered;Minimum of three years of inpatient coding experience;Strong multi-specialty inpatient coding background;Experience in academic medical center or trauma facility preferred;Proficiency with Epic EHR and 3M encoder.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate inpatient coding across Cardiology, Neurology, Surgical, Transplants, NICU, and other complex cases.
• Assign diagnosis and procedure codes per standards and regulations.
• Maintain timely and accurate coding in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
• Consistently meet productivity and quality expectations.
