Qualifications

• 2+ years inpatient hospital coding experience.
• CCS, RHIA, or RHIT certification required.
• Remote position open to listed states in the US.

Responsibilities

• Accurately abstracts data elements for inpatient encounters.
• Stay current with coding conventions, guidelines, and DRG updates.
• Query providers for clarification or additional information as needed.
• Assign codes timely and ensure appropriate DRG assignment.
