Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Accurately abstracts data elements.
• Stays current of coding conventions, regulatory guidelines, code updates and BJC guidance.
• Reviews patient encounters for compliant coding and queries providers for clarification.
• Assigns codes in a timely manner and determines DRG based on documentation.
• Collaborates with CDI, HIM Operations and other departments to ensure record integrity and coding compliance.
