Job summary

Solve IT Strategies, Inc. is searching for an Inpatient Coder to work remotely in Chicago, IL. This role requires strong academic background and coding experience in trauma and/or research universities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assigning accurate diagnostic and procedure codes, data abstraction, and completing other duties assigned by management. Candidates should hold a RHIA, RHIT, or CCS Certification and have a minimum of 3 years of inpatient medical record coding experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM-PCS and CPT-4 coding required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in inpatient medical record coding.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy and physiology.

Responsibilities

• Assign diagnostic and procedure codes to patient charts accurately.
• Abstract selected data items and enter them using 3M encoder/Epic software.
• Complete other assigned duties as directed by management.
