• Associate's degree required.
• Medical Terminology, Anatomy and Physiology required.
• Certifications CPC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA or COC required; please include on resume.

Responsibilities

• Assess documentation to assign codes for principal diagnoses and procedures across specialties.
• Ensure accurate coding for inpatient encounters and revenue capture.
• Apply ICD-10-CM/ CPT-4 coding guidelines and payer rules to minimize rework.
