Qualifications

• Active CCS or CIC credential required.
• Expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS and MS-DRG with inpatient coding experience.
• Experience coding in diverse inpatient settings and collaboration with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Annotate and review inpatient records with accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS codes.
• Identify principal/secondary diagnoses and POA indicators; validate MS-DRG.
• Apply UHDDS definitions and Official Guidelines; identify HACs and patient safety indicators.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to resolve ambiguities and ensure data integrity.
• Provide feedback on coding guidelines to improve AI model learning.
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of annotations per coding standards.
