Job summary

Reserv is an insurtech innovating AI and automation to improve claims efficiency. We seek an Inland Marine Adjuster who will manage end-to-end inland marine claims, from coverage assessment to settlement, working with policyholders, brokers, and legal teams.

This remote-first role requires active licensure, 3+ years in property claims, and willingness to travel. You’ll conduct thorough evaluations, write appraisals, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to continuous improvements in

Qualifications

• Active insurance adjuster license in home state or DHS license; willing to obtain additional licenses within 60 days.
• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent qualifications acknowledged.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with Property claims.
• Experience in Inland Marine losses preferred.
• Desk and/or field appraisal experience.
• Knowledge of state regulations, policy provisions, and SOPs.
• Ability to analyze and evaluate complex data and make sound decisions.
• Curious and motivated by problem solving and questioning the status quo.
• Desire for continuous professional development and growth.
• Willingness to travel for client and claims needs.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve inland marine insurance claims from start to finish.
• Assess coverage, determine liability, estimate damages, and negotiate settlements.
• Manage claim process with adherence to guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Write appraisals for dwelling repairs or coordinate with field appraisers.
• Explain coverage, coinsurance, and mitigation steps; address business interruption claims.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, policy provisions and SOPs.
• Communicate with policyholders, brokers, contractors, and attorneys to settle claims.
• Provide input for continuous improvement of claims guidelines and processes.
• Oversee outside investigative services and coordinate with client/counsel.
