Job summary

Reserv seeks an Inland Marine Adjuster to investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex inland marine insurance claims, including construction equipment, contractor tools, and portable property. You’ll manage the claim lifecycle from coverage assessment to settlement, in alignment with company guidelines.

The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of inland marine coverages and commercial property policies. Remote-first environment with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Active insurance adjuster license in home state.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of Property claims experience.
• Inland Marine losses experience preferred.
• Desk or field appraisal experience.
• Willing to obtain all licenses within 60 days.
• Knowledge of state regulations and procedures.
• Ability to analyze complex data and make decisions.
• Willingness to travel for client and claims needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, courteous customer service to policyholders and claimants.
• Gather information to initiate claims and explain policy details.
• Manage an inventory of claims and establish initial reserves.
• Investigate, determine coverage, and adjust property losses.
• Coordinate appraisals and review accuracy.
• Explain coverage and assist with itemization of damages.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and procedures.
• Negotiate settlements within authority.
• Contribute to guidelines and process improvements.
• Oversee outside investigators and coordinate with client counsel.
