Job summary

GovCIO is seeking a Developer with Infrastructure Tool Kit (ITK) experience to develop and maintain systems code for the USPS. This role is fully remote across the United States and requires a Public Trust clearance, Agile/SDLC familiarity, Change/Configuration Management, and ALM.

Responsibilities include planning, coding, testing, and de-bugging applications using ITK, maintaining standards, and coordinating with leadership and vendors.

Qualifications

• Clearance required: Public Trust.
• Bachelor's degree and 5–8 years of experience or commensurate experience.
• Experience with USPS-like environments and secure coding practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the project planning process that determines programming and hardware needs. Assist or lead in preparing programming specifications and in developing coding logic.
• Design, code, test, and debug computer programs, independently or as part of a team, using ITK languages.
• Adhere to USPS development standards, procedures and processes; ensure systems compatibility; follow data security procedures and identify risks.
• Maintain contact with the team leader, customers, contractors, and vendors to monitor progress and coordinate project stages.
• Revise and update computer programs, procedures, and systems; update documentation as necessary.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned to support duties.
