Job summary

Sprezzatura is seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud infrastructure powering VA.gov Platform. You will develop automation, scalable pipelines, and platform services to support dozens of engineering teams and government stakeholders.

The role requires 10 years in DevOps, AWS and Kubernetes expertise, and a strong focus on security, observability, and on-call production support. Remote US work with standard business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
• Ten years of DevOps engineering experience.
• Experience with AWS as primary cloud and Kubernetes deployment.
• Strong Terraform and Terragrunt skills; automation-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure for VA.gov Platform.
• Develop reusable infrastructure modules and automation.
• Improve platform scalability, resiliency, and reliability.
• Operate CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Jenkins; on-call support.
