Job summary

Counsel Health, Inc. is seeking a Backend Infrastructure Engineer to own the intersection of application code and infrastructure, shaping CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and the core services that glue our systems together.

You will write production backend code, build core archetypes, and strengthen security in a HIPAA-regulated environment, contributing to a fast-growing AI-enabled healthcare platform.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of professional experience in backend or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong proficiency in at least one typed/compiled language (Go, Rust, Java, Typed Python, TypeScript).
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud services.
• Familiarity with containerized environments and Docker.

Responsibilities

• Shape our infrastructure-as-code using Terraform.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines end to end.
• Write production backend services and core server-side systems.
• Create production-grade patterns for deployments, jobs, consumers, and workers.
• Improve local dev workflows, cut build times, and reduce flaky infra.
• Work with security/compliance to harden infra (HIPAA-regulated).
