Job summary

Bayesian Health is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to accelerate product and research teams. You will help expand AI/ML modules and health-system deployments while managing cost and reliability in a healthcare setting.

The role emphasizes securing infrastructure, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and improving deployment processes within a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production cloud infrastructure.
• Proficient with Kubernetes, preferably EKS.
• Relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL (backups, failover, performance tuning).
• Deep expertise in Terraform (or equivalent IaC) and building clean, scalable modules.
• Familiarity with observability tools, particularly Datadog.
• Experience building infrastructure with PHI/PII data.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably with CircleCI.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration in a startup environment.

Responsibilities

• Design cost-optimized, fault-tolerant infrastructure for scale and cost control.
• Streamline development and deployment by building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub) and defining a promotion strategy.
• Establish infrastructure guidelines and templates such as Terraform modules; educate team members.
• Infrastructure support and maintenance: monitor performance, reliability, and apply upgrades; troubleshoot issues.
• Secure infrastructure in partnership with SecOps to comply with HIPAA, HITRUST, FDA, and client requirements.
• Architect and build a secure internal AI Ops platform to host AI/ML agents for infra and DevOps optimization.
