Job summary

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in information security and knowledge of networking, intrusion detection, VPN, PKI, and encryption technologies. A BS degree is required; certifications such as CISSP/GIAC/CCNA/CCNP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS degree in CS/IT/Telecommunications or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years information security experience; 2+ years with networking, intrusion detection, VPN, PKI, and firewall techs.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in identifying business process requirements and related security solutions.
• Provides training and support to customers.
• Identifies problems, researches alternatives, and implements solutions for defined processes.
• Creates documentation of security requirements and functions.
• Generates reports; analyzes data and reports trends to management.
• Oversees small to medium projects under general supervision.
• Conducts risk assessments and interviews internal/external customers.
• Supports information systems development regarding risks of new technologies.
• Keeps abreast of industry advancements and applies them to daily work.
• Resolves security issues across platforms and performs after-hours duties as needed.
