Job summary

First American is seeking a qualified information security professional to support the Security Awareness program and ensure protection of information systems. The role requires hands-on security experience and collaboration with business partners to implement secure solutions.

The candidate should have a BS degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of security experience, with familiarity in networking, IDS, VPN, PKI, and firewall technologies.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years information security experience.
• 2+ years networking, IDS, VPN, PKI, Check Point and PIX firewalls, Cisco; CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, CCNP preferred.
• Certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, or CCNP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies business process requirements and related security solutions.
• May provide training and support directly to customers.
• Identifies, researches options, presents solutions, and implements defined security processes.
• Creates documentation of technical security requirements and functions.
• Researches data and reports trends to management or business partners.
• Oversees small to medium security projects or phases of larger projects.
• Conducts risk assessments with internal/external customers.
• Advises on risks of new or changing technologies to information systems.
• Resolves security issues to maintain operations across platforms (email, file transfer, etc.).

BS degree in CS/IT/Telecommunications/EE or equivalent
