Job summary

First American is seeking an Information Security professional to support the awareness program and protect information systems from unauthorized access. You will identify business process requirements, conduct risk assessments, and create documentation and reports for management.

The role requires a BS degree and 3+ years in information security; certifications such as CISSP/CCNA are preferred. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in CS/IT/EE or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 3 years information security experience.
• Experience with networking, intrusion detection, VPN, PKI, Checkpoint and PIX firewalls, CISCO NAC, Identity management and encryption technologies.
• CISSP, GIAC, CCNA, CCNP certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identifies business/process requirements and related security solutions.
• Conducts risk assessments and provides support to the business community on security risks.
• Documents technical security requirements and generates reports for management.
• Oversees security-related projects under general supervision.
• Keeps abreast of industry advancements and evaluates new technology.
• Resolves security problems to ensure operations across platforms.
