Placements24 is seeking a Remote Industrial Plant Maintenance Engineer for a leading international manufacturer with extensive operations across South Africa. The role guides maintenance strategy and supports multiple plant sites from a remote setup.

You will develop predictive maintenance programs, analyze equipment performance, and drive improvements in uptime and efficiency, collaborating closely with on-site teams.

Qualifikationen

• Seven+ years of industrial plant maintenance experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography).
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems (pumps, motors, compressors, power distribution).
• Proven ability to work remotely with on-site teams.

Aufgaben

• Develop and manage plant maintenance strategies including preventive and predictive programs.
• Analyze failure data to identify trends and root causes.
• Provide remote technical support to on-site maintenance teams.
• Oversee maintenance planning and scheduling for resource efficiency.
• Evaluate new maintenance technologies and best practices.
• Develop spare parts inventory strategies for critical equipment.
• Conduct virtual inspections and audits across sites.
• Collaborate with engineering and operations to align with production goals.
• Develop and deliver virtual training for maintenance personnel.
• Prepare reports on maintenance KPIs and improvement initiatives.
• Focus on improving practices near Queenstown and other sites.
