Job summary
Placements24 represents a prominent national retailer seeking a Remote Industrial Engineer to optimize its distribution and fulfillment network. This fully remote role allows you to contribute from anywhere, focusing on process modeling, simulation, and data-driven improvements across multiple distribution centers.
The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Industrial Engineering, at least 5 years in distribution/warehouse operations, and proven experience with AnyLogic or FlexSim, SQL/Python/R,
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in industrial engineering focusing on distribution/warehouse operations.
- Experience in process analysis, simulation, and statistical modeling.
Responsibilities
- Analyze operational processes within distribution centers (receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping).
- Develop and implement processes to increase throughput and reduce costs.
- Use simulation and data analytics to model changes and evaluate impact.
- Design and optimize layouts and material flow for efficiency.
- Establish KPIs to monitor performance and identify improvements.
- Collaborate with on-site ops teams to implement changes and drive adoption.
- Prepare reports for senior leadership on findings and outcomes.
- Stay current with warehouse management practices and technologies.
- Lead and manage projects related to efficiency and cost reduction.
- Facilitate remote training for staff on new processes and systems.
