Job summary

CLEAResult Energetics seeks an Industrial Energy System Modeler to support transformative changes in the U.S. industrial sector.

This role focuses on sustainability, energy efficiency, and clean heat technologies with rigorous analysis and strong client engagement. You will model technologies with utilities, industrial clients, government agencies, and national laboratories, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Engineering or analytical background (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Process, or related).
• High-level analytical proficiency in Excel or similar modeling tools.
• Hands-on experience with industrial process modeling or unit operations modeling.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct techno-economic analysis (TEA).

Responsibilities

• Perform technical performance modeling of emerging industrial technologies (e.g., industrial heat pumps, electrode boilers, electric dryers/ovens).
• Conduct industrial process modeling and unit-operations analysis for complex facility systems.
• Execute techno-economic analyses including feasibility studies, payback modeling, and ROI calculations.
• Evaluate site-specific applicability of technologies in facility processes.
• Support landscape scanning for new clean heat technologies and early-stage innovations.
• Contribute to analysis of load flexibility and grid-interactive technologies.
• Develop clear reports, models, and presentations for internal teams, utilities, and clients.
• Collaborate with vendors, utilities, and stakeholders to collect data and refine assessments.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences with practical implications.
• Utilize AI, Copilot, Excel, and modeling platforms to accelerate analysis and documentation.
• Balance analytical work with stakeholder engagement (approximately 50/50).
