Job summary

Energy Drive Systems seeks an Energy Solutions Engineer to identify and deliver industrial energy efficiency opportunities across North America. You will assess customer systems, develop technical solutions and support projects from opportunity development through handover.

Role requires a strong engineering background, commercial awareness, and the ability to build trusted relationships with industrial clients, while working with an international team in a remote environment.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering.
• Around 5–10+ years' experience within heavy industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of medium voltage motors, VFDs, pumps, fans and rotating equipment.
• Experience developing technical solutions for industrial applications.
• Experience with energy modelling, system performance analysis or equipment sizing.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to work independently within a remote environment.
• A willingness to travel across North America.

Responsibilities

• Investigate energy efficiency opportunities via site visits and assessments.
• Evaluate electrical systems, motor applications and processes.
• Develop energy models and performance calculations.
• Design solutions with MV motors, VFDs, pumps, fans, and control systems.
• Prepare technical proposals and customer presentations.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to develop opportunities.
• Support project delivery with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Build long-term relationships with customer engineering teams.
