Job summary

The Fountain Group is seeking an experienced procurement professional for a remote, six-month engagement in Connecticut, United States. The role focuses on indirect procurement, RFX/RFPs, contract negotiations, and end-to-end P2P processes using major systems like Zycus.

Responsibilities include supplier evaluation, cost benchmarking, training stakeholders on P2P usage, and collaborating with legal on contracts to ensure compliance and optimal value for enterprise spend.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years of procurement experience required.
• 3+ years of indirect procurement experience required.
• Experience with a major Procure 2 Pay system (Coupa, Ariba, GEP, Ivalua or Zycus) is critical.
• Experience negotiating contracts and working with legal.
• Must have worked in Enterprise originations or large markets.
• Extensive indirect procurement experience in a large corporate environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations, contract execution, and procurement compliance processes end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Execute RFX/RFPs, contract negotiations, and govern approvals for indirect procurement topics.
• Monitor requisition, approval, and PO processes in the Procure 2 Pay platform (Zycus).
• Assist business requestors with Procure 2 Pay system usage and training.
• Gather quotations, examine bids and make awards in partnership with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure spend decisions target lowest logical cost and align with market benchmarks.
• Evaluate vendor reliability and develop new supply sources.
• Support vendor programs and sourcing events as assigned.
• Collaborate with legal and business stakeholders on contract negotiations.
• Support indirect category activities including Corporate & Professional Services, Office Supplies/IT Peripherals, Telecommunications, MRO/Facility expenses, Tail Spend, Contractor Services.
