Job summary
LHH is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join its in-house legal team in California. This role offers ownership of a litigation caseload from assessment through trial, with the option to work remotely and a company vehicle.

Qualifications
- 2+ years of insurance defense or related experience.
- Preferred: Primary attorney defending personal injury lawsuits.
- 3+ years of insurance defense experience.
- 4+ years insurance defense personal injury trials to verdict.
Responsibilities
- Review new and transfer file assignments with initial evaluation letter to claims and service of initial discovery.
- Summarize discovery responses and medical records.
- Take and defend depositions of parties, lay witnesses, and expert witnesses; complete deposition summaries.
- Law and motion: research; preparation of motions, oppositions and replies; court appearances for law and motion.
- Trial preparation, trial and posttrial motions.
- Perform other tasks to defend the insured as assigned by managing attorneys.
