Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. seeks an experienced Regional Sales Director (DCO) for the East Region to lead District Managers and field reps in immunology sales. This field-based leadership role covers the Northeast and requires travel up to 50% across the territory.

The DCO will drive omnichannel strategies, build strategic plans with cross-functional partners, and ensure strong customer relationships while meeting P&L targets in a remote-capable environment.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree and at least 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, or managed care within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum of 3 years of people management experience.
• At least 3 years' experience building and managing customer relationships.
• Resident of the region with ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing regional team to execute customer engagement strategies.
• Own the customer portfolio and overall customer experience across team touchpoints.
• Build relationships with senior leaders to support strategic engagement.
• Align account plans with payer and managed-care considerations to optimize access.
• Deliver regional business results and meet P&L targets.
• Embed a customer-centric vision across large teams and cross-functional partners.
• Identify opportunities to grow the business and drive launches and growth.
• Maximize payer, patient, and HCP interactions to unlock value.
