Job summary

Columbus Technologies and Services seeks a PhD-level Program Analyst to support ARPA-H on high-impact R&D initiatives. This remote, ongoing contract role will work with the ARPA-H Program Manager to advance novel therapeutic modalities and bioengineered solutions.

You will evaluate the current R&D landscape, track performance against milestones, and prepare executive briefs for technical and non-technical audiences. Some CONUS travel (~10–20%) may be required.

Qualifications

• PhD in immunology, nucleic acid therapeutics, synthetic biology, analytical chemistry, materials science, or related field.
• Experience in immunology, nucleic acid-based prophylactics and therapeutics, nucleic acid delivery, synthetic biology and cell engineering, gene regulation, biochemistry, analytical and polymer chemistry, materials science, mass spectrometry, in vivo imaging techniques, toxicology, cell and structural biology, biomaterials, nanotechnology, and microbiome and microbial communities.
• Experience coordinating independent verification and validation, and managing programs with cooperative agreements, Other Transaction awards, milestone-based contracts, FFRDCs, interagency efforts, and commercialization efforts.
• Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills, with ability to create slides and Excel files in high-pressure environments.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Program Manager to advance development and progress of new and existing programs.
• Conduct thorough technical scientific evaluation of the current R&D landscape to identify gaps and needs.
• Monitor and track performers' progress toward established metrics.
• Read and digest complex information to develop executive level briefings for diverse audiences.
• Review scientific data with strong analytical and critical thinking.
• Support team integration and independent work on ARPA-H efforts.
• Perform administrative tasks such as collecting, sorting, and writing internal programmatic reports/briefings.
