Job summary

Southern Law Center P.L. is seeking a driven Immigration Attorney to join our tech-forward firm in a fully remote capacity. You will provide high-quality legal counsel to clients worldwide seeking immigration support, shaping our digital-first approach and leveraging tools to maximize efficiency.

You will attend hearings, manage cases, and help prepare filings with USCIS, DOL, EOIR while staying updated on immigration law trends.

Qualifications

• Active Bar Membership in good standing from any US state.
• Hands-on experience with family-based, employment-based, and/or asylum processes is a plus.
• Proactive, process-oriented mindset to move cases efficiently from intake to resolution.
• Fluent with digital tools and a remote, digital work environment.

Responsibilities

• Attend Master and Individual hearings in Immigration Court.
• Provide client consultations and apply service and sales-oriented approaches.
• Manage a high-volume immigration caseload from intake to resolution.
• Deliver client service via digital platforms to review case status and provide legal advice.
• Prepare and file immigration forms, petitions, and supporting docs with USCIS, DOL, EOIR electronically.
• Contribute to digital innovation and automate processes.
• Stay updated on immigration law trends through webinars and ongoing training.

Position Overview

SLC is looking for a driven and tech-savvy Immigration Attorney to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality legal counsel and strategic advice to clients from various backgrounds seeking immigration support. You will play a key role in shaping our digital-first approach to immigration law, delivering exceptional services while leveraging cutting-edge technology to maximize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Court Representation: Attend both Master and Individual hearings in Immigration Court. You must be confident and unafraid to talk in front of a judge.
• Client Consultations: Give clients legal advice while also making sure to use customer services and sales tactics to drive results and conversions.
• Case Management: Manage a high volume of immigration cases, including family, employment, asylum, and business-based immigration matters, from intake to resolution.
• Client Interaction: Provide excellent, accessible client service through digital platforms (Clio, WhatsApp, Dropbox, Microsoft Office) to address inquiries, review case status, and give legal advice in a timely manner.
• Documentation & Filing: Prepare, review, and file immigration forms, petitions, and supporting documentation with relevant agencies (USCIS, DOL, EOIR) electronically, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulations.
• Innovation, Automation, and Collaboration: Contribute to process improvements and digital innovation efforts within the firm. Work with our team to optimize case management and client experience through digital solutions and automate as much of our processes as possible.
• Professional Development: Stay updated on immigration law trends, attend webinars, and participate in ongoing legal training to enhance your expertise.

Qualifications

• Active, Bar Membership in good standing from any US State.
• Some experience with immigration law is encouraged including hands-on experience with family-based, employment-based, and/or asylum immigration processes.
• Must be someone who takes initiative and is process orienting to help get the case from start to finish efficiently.
• EXTREMELY STRONG proficiency in digital tools and case management software; comfort with a fully remote, digital work environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to handle a large caseload and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication skills and client-centered approach.
• MUST FLUENTLY SPEAK ONE OR MORE OF THE FOLLOWING LANGUAGES: SPANISH, PORTUGUESE, RUSSIAN, CHINESE
