Job summary

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our Miami-area team. You will manage a diverse caseload spanning removal defense, family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, and employment-based filings, with strong research, writing, and advocacy to support clients through intake to resolution.

Ideal candidates hold a JD, active bar in at least one US jurisdiction, and a track record in immigration court and federal filings.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active bar license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Experience handling removal defense and immigration court proceedings.
  • Experience preparing and filing I-130, I-485, N-400, I-140, I-601, I-601A, I-212.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in Immigration Court and EOIR proceedings.
  • Handle bond hearings, cancellation of removal cases, and other removal defense matters.
  • Prepare motions, legal briefs, appeals, and supporting documentation.
  • Represent clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
  • Conduct legal research and draft persuasive memoranda.
  • Assist with federal court litigation and habeas actions when appropriate.
  • Prepare and file family-based immigration petitions and applications.
  • Manage adjustment of status and consular processing matters.
  • Prepare clients for USCIS interviews and hearings.
  • Assist clients with naturalization and citizenship applications.
  • Track deadlines and maintain accurate case records using case management systems.
  • Collaborate with legal staff, paralegals, and attorneys to ensure efficient case handling.

We are seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney to join our team and manage a diverse caseload while advocating for clients in a variety of immigration matters.

Position Summary

The Immigration Attorney will handle a broad range of immigration cases, including removal defense, family-based immigration petitions, humanitarian relief applications, waivers, citizenship matters, and employment-based immigration filings. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal research, writing, and advocacy skills and be capable of independently managing cases from intake through resolution.

Responsibilities
Removal Defense & Litigation
  • Represent clients in Immigration Court and EOIR proceedings.
  • Handle bond hearings, cancellation of removal cases, and other removal defense matters.
  • Prepare motions, legal briefs, appeals, and supporting documentation.
  • Represent clients before the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
  • Conduct legal research and draft persuasive memoranda.
  • Assist with federal court litigation and habeas actions when appropriate.
Family-Based Immigration
  • Prepare and file family-based immigration petitions and applications.
  • Manage adjustment of status and consular processing matters.
  • Prepare clients for USCIS interviews and hearings.
  • Assist clients with naturalization and citizenship applications.
Humanitarian Immigration
  • Prepare and file asylum applications and related relief requests.
  • Handle humanitarian relief matters, including TPS, DACA, humanitarian parole, and applicable waivers.
  • Conduct country condition research and assemble supporting evidence.
Employment-Based Immigration
  • Prepare and file PERM Labor Certification applications.
  • Handle employment-based immigrant petitions, including I-140 filings.
  • Advise employers regarding immigration compliance matters.
  • Provide guidance regarding I-9 compliance and E-Verify procedures.
Client Management
  • Conduct client consultations and case assessments.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status.
  • Ensure timely preparation and filing of applications, petitions, and court submissions.
  • Track deadlines and maintain accurate case records using case management systems.
  • Collaborate with legal staff, paralegals, and attorneys to ensure efficient case handling.

Preferred
  • Experience with asylum matters and humanitarian relief.
  • Federal court litigation experience.
  • Experience with PERM Labor Certification filings.
  • Bilingual language skills.
  • Supervisory or mentoring experience.
