Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking an Imaging Systems Administrator to optimize medical imaging environments and interfaces across our healthcare system. You will support image viewing, interpretation, and data exchange while collaborating with vendors and project teams.

You will manage interfaces to EMR, RIS, and PACS, participate in lifecycle documentation, and help drive continuous improvement in imaging workflows and compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
• Strong understanding of DICOM and HL7 standards.
• Familiarity with network configurations, transmission protocols, and server management.
• Experience with hardware and software implementation, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Ability to retrieve and analyze data for performance indicators.

Responsibilities

• Ensure optimal environment for viewing and interpretation of medical images.
• Monitor interfaces with EMR, RIS, PACS, and Voice Recognition systems and verify data integrity.
• Participate in project lifecycle documents and ensure on-time, in-scope delivery with minimal defects.
• Assist with vendor management and expand technical capabilities through learning new protocols.
• Ensure compliance with standards and perform comprehensive testing and documentation.
