Job summary

Highmark Health seeks an Imaging Systems Administrator to ensure optimal performance and compliance of medical imaging systems, interfaces, and workflows within the healthcare environment. The role involves project management, vendor coordination, and continuous improvement of imaging processes.

You will support image viewing, interpretation, and data exchange while collaborating with EMR, RIS, PACS, and voice recognition systems to meet regulatory standards and clinical needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Systems or related field.
• Experience in medical imaging systems administration, PACS administration, or a similar role within a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Lean/Six Sigma
• Health Insurance or Healthcare Industry (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Ensures an optimal environment for viewing and interpretation of medical images and interfaces with EMR, RIS, PACS, and voice recognition systems.
• Participates in lifecycle documents and project management activities to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery within budget.
• Communicates downtime, upgrades, and workflow changes to stakeholders to minimize operational disruption.
• Assists with vendor management for imaging applications and systems and supports data retrieval for KPIs/audits.
• Performs quality assurance and compliance activities, including testing plans, scenarios, and documentation.
