Job summary

Fintech Core is seeking a Technical Research Consultant with a strong developer background to evaluate identity verification and biometric vendors. You will explore APIs, build PoCs, and provide evidence-based product recommendations to shape our platform decisions.

You’ll work independently, test vendor claims hands-on, document market and regulatory considerations, and present results to the product team in the US.

Qualifications

• Experience consuming third-party APIs and SDKs to build working tests.
• Proficient in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar scripting languages.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured evaluation criteria.
• Strong written communication for executive and engineering audiences.
• Experience presenting findings to Product, Engineering and Compliance.

Responsibilities

• Research identity verification, eID, document verification, biometric and fraud-detection vendors with regional focus.
• Build PoCs by integrating vendor APIs/SDKs in sandbox environments.
• Assess onboarding, licensing, geographic restrictions and terms.
• Study country-specific identity ecosystems and regulatory constraints.
• Monitor API changes and automate routine research.
• Create vendor scorecards with evidence-backed recommendations.
• Present findings and demos to stakeholders.
