Job summary

1Kosmos Inc. is seeking a technically capable research consultant to move identity-verification concepts into evidence-backed product recommendations. The role involves hands-on testing of APIs, evaluation of providers and data sources, and documenting constraints and pathways for production use.

The engagement is remote, 3–6 months, embedded with the Identity Verification Product team. You will build lightweight prototypes, produce reproducible test results, and deliver actionable guidance with

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience consuming third-party APIs and SDKs
• Ability to translate business questions into structured evaluation criteria
• Excellent written and verbal communication for exec and engineer audiences

Responsibilities

• Identify identity-verification, data sources, eID, documentation, biometrics, fraud signals providers
• Test and prototype provider APIs in sandbox environments
• Assess onboarding requirements, licensing, regional coverage, and production viability
• Build lightweight test harnesses to demonstrate integration effort and failure modes
• Document evidence, pros/cons, and recommended actions for product leadership
• Create vendor scorecards covering coverage, technical fit, and regulatory constraints
• Monitor vendor updates, standards, and regulatory developments impacting roadmap
• Maintain a reusable research repository for future engagements
