Job summary

WestEd is seeking a detail-oriented Program Associate to support IDEA Part C and related federal education projects. You will assist Senior Program Associates, Program Managers, and project leads in providing technical assistance, policy analysis, and resource development to state agencies and local educational agencies.

The role emphasizes coordination, documentation, and clear communication across fiscal and programmatic areas, with travel up to 30% and opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, public administration, education administration, or related fields.
• Knowledge of federal fiscal accountability requirements and state/local finance systems related to special education.
• Experience administering or supporting special education or early intervention programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support to state agencies and LEAs.
• Contribute to resource development, policy analysis, and dissemination of materials.
• Coordinate tasks, meetings, and events for project teams.
• Summarize client materials, policy documents, and research for reports.
