Job summary

Catapult is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth in North America, focusing on NCAA conferences, Minor League, and hockey organizations. This role is remote-based across multiple states and requires hunter mentality and strong relationship building.

You will report to the Director of Sales, develop new relationships, expand Catapult's hockey customer base, and manage a CRM-driven pipeline while collaborating with coaches, sport scientists, and performance analysts to turn data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of business to business sales experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred.
• Exceptional, proven sales track record in similar roles, preferably in sports.
• A self-starter able to maintain a cost-effective and time-effective travel schedule, completing expense reports and updating a CRM system daily.
• Willingness to travel approximately 50%.
• Able to perform quality, scientific presentations in the field of athlete performance.
• Able to understand customer needs in advance of a presentation and communicate with coaches.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting and developing a pipeline and closing sales across NCAA conferences, Minor League, Junior Hockey leagues (CHL, WHL, OHL, etc).
• Being a spokesperson for Catapult in local and national presentations of the technology and assets.
• Identifying markets for sales activity and developing penetration strategies.
• Manage a region of accounts identified in the hockey market.
• Maintaining a CRM database and using it to forecast sales opportunities.
• Phone and email support of Catapult’s elite sport clients.
• Phone and web conferencing training of new users.
• Growing our hockey customer base in video and wearables and being proficient in the Catapult product suite.
