Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC certification required.
• 5+ years of coding/auditing in acute care facilities or clinics.
• Proficient with ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS and coding guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex concurrent and retrospective analysis of inpatient medical record documentation.
• Prepare client reports with references supporting audit findings.
• Provide second-level review to ensure compliant code assignments.
• Research and respond to inquiries regarding coding and denials.
