The role supports inpatient charts and may include auditing tasks. This is a remote position with expected professional communication and adherence to coding standards.

Candidates must hold AAPC CPC/COC or AHIMA CCS/CCS-P credentials and have at least 2 years of inpatient experience. Proficiency with EMR, Excel and Outlook is required.

Qualifications

• Must be certified through AAPC (CPC/COC) or AHIMA (CCS/CCS-P).
• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient coding experience.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding systems.
• Strong knowledge of EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work remotely with excellent accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Code CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10-CM for 4+ specialties for clients.
• Ensure accurate sequencing and documentation for inpatient charts.
• Maintain productivity and quality targets, 95%+ scores.
• Communicate professionally with clients and leadership.
• Possibly assist with auditing and reporting as needed.
