Job summary

Shell is seeking an experienced I&E Technician to deliver instrument and electrical technical support across construction and plant facilities. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining control systems including PLCs and DCS, in a safety-conscious environment.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years in industrial maintenance, NFPA 70E certification, NCCER/Electrical qualifications, and proficiency with SAP, Outlook, and Word.

Qualifications

• Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years’ experience in Industrial Maintenance setting.
• NFPA 70E Certification required.
• Electrical and Instrument NCCER certification or Electrical/Instrument degree required.
• Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and SAP.
• Able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install, diagnose, and maintain instrument and electrical equipment components in a reliable and compliant manner.
• Maintain pneumatic and intelligent instruments, electrical distribution systems, motor control gear, and associated software.
• Install, diagnose, and maintain PLCs or DCS systems and process or safety controls.
• Read and interpret manuals, drawings, and schematics including P&IDs.
• Participate in call-out/on-call requirements and safety programs.
• Provide mentoring and oversight to less qualified employees.
• Provide accurate written and electronic reporting.
• Perform energy isolation lockout/tagout procedures (LOTO).
