Job summary

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role serves as a trusted accountant to a portfolio of nonprofit clients, ensuring compliant, accurate financial operations.

You will manage general ledger maintenance, closings, AP/AR reconciliations, and produce timely financial packages and board-level reporting, while supporting audits, Form 990 filings, onboarding, and leadership guidance.

Qualifications

• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting principles.
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel/similar) for data analysis.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with nonprofit leaders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger across nonprofit clients.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Execute AP/AR reconciliations and produce financial packages.
• Prepare board-level reporting and support annual audits.
• Assist with Form 990 filings and onboarding.
• Provide clear financial guidance to client leadership.
