Job summary

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role manages day-to-day accounting for nonprofit clients, ensuring accurate, compliant financials and timely reporting.

You will maintain the general ledger, perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, and execute AP/AR reconciliations while preparing financial packages and board-level reporting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on nonprofit accounting experience preferred.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial controls.
• Excellent spreadsheet proficiency and data accuracy.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with nonprofit leaders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and perform month-end closings.
• Handle monthly/quarterly/annual closings and reconciliations.
• Execute AP/AR processes and produce financial packages.
• Prepare board-level reporting and assist audits and Form 990.
• Support client onboarding and provide actionable financial guidance.
