Job summary

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role serves as a day-to-day trusted accountant for a portfolio of nonprofit clients, ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations.

You will manage general ledger maintenance, closings, AP/AR, and deliver timely financial packages and board reporting, while supporting audits and Form 990 filings. This role emphasizes analytical rigor and building trusted client relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting fundamentals.
• Advanced proficiency with spreadsheets and data analysis.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting software is a plus (Sage Intacct preferred).

Responsibilities

• Manage general ledger maintenance for nonprofit clients.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
• Execute AP/AR reconciliations and produce timely financial packages.
• Prepare board-level financial reporting and analyses.
• Support annual external audits and Form 990 filings.
• Assist with client onboarding and provide actionable financial guidance.
