Job summary

Cedarstone is seeking a full-time Nonprofit Accountant to join our Financial Operations team. This hands-on role serves as a day-to-day trusted accountant for a portfolio of nonprofit clients, ensuring accurate, compliant financial operations.

You will manage general ledger maintenance, monthly closings, AP/AR reconciliations, and prepare timely financial packages and board reports; assist with annual audits and Form 990, and guide client leadership.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of GAAP for nonprofit accounting.
• Strong spreadsheet and data analysis skills.
• Excellent communication with nonprofit leadership and clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers for nonprofit clients.
• Perform monthly closings and reconciliations.
• Handle AP/AR processes and supplier/payable management.
• Prepare financial packages and board-level reports.
• Support annual audits and Form 990 filings.
• Assist with client onboarding and provide actionable financial guidance.
